Reckless Rollers is the Bay Area Derby Girl’s premier recreational skating program. We offer the camaraderie and excitement of derby, without the financial or time commitment required of our league skaters. We also offer the opportunity for newer skaters to get their foot into the door and work to become a full league member by participating in quarterly transfer evaluations, as well as a huge advantage when we hold our yearly tryouts. Even skaters who only occasionally attend are welcome and it also offers a great networking environment for like minded Bay Area skaters.
Reckless Rollers hold practices on Saturday afternoons (practice days/times are subject to change). Membership is available via a variety of rate options:
2015 Pricing Specials

Reckless Rollers is open to adult, female, quad skaters (at least 18-years-old). Participants should be familiar with basic Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) skills and have the ability to participate in practices, utilizing those skills. Please refer to the minimum skill set as required by sanctioned WFTDA play for more information on the skills we’ll be practicing.
Interested skaters may register for Reckless by sending an email to recklessrollers@
To skate with Reckless, you must have a full set of protective gear: quad skates, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet, and a mouth guard. Prior to your first practice we’ll email you all of the necessary information you need to bring with you. We also have hard copies on hand for walk-ins.
Please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to your first practice so we can find someone to show you the ropes on your first day. While we prefer pre-registration, drop-in visits are welcome and the charge will be $10. Please note that online prices are not available in person. If you don’t have WFTDA insurance, we ask that you sign an insurance release/waiver at your first practice. Continued Reckless participation requires proof of WFTDA insurance. You may purchase insurance directly through the WFTDA web site.
Brand new skaters should check out boot camps offered by surrounding leagues, open sessions at skating rinks and the Bay Areas numerous outdoor trails until they are able to join RR. Feel free to network on our Google Group or Facebook page to find other participants near you. Feel free to network on our Google Group or Facebook page to find other participants near you.
