BGOTM – Stace Odyssey
This month's B.A.D. Girl of the Month is none other than Richmond's Stace Odyssey!! #2001 in your program, #1 in your hearts, Stace was nominated for the effort she put in to revamping our league's website, and in particular our online store!! As one leaguemate said when nominating her, “She has made our website look incredible overnight. She's so easy to work with, and just gets the job done.” Stace, a former reality TV star, has been with the Belles since 2012. Says a teammate, “Stace is an AWESOME teammate. She's super sweet and really helps with the new girls.” She also confirms that Stace is “a super good jump-roper” with mad double-dutch skills. Ladies and gentlemen, Stace Odyssey!!

What’s your gubmint name (the one on your birth certificate)? Stacey Merrick
How did you get your derby name? I love all things retro-futuristic/atompunk and I’m a Stanley
Kubrick fan.
What do you do for non-derby work? Marketing and promotions. I also teach double dutch
jump rope.
How did you become involved with our league? How long have you been with us? I needed
a new activity to do in the non-snow months to keep me occupied when I’m not snowboarding.
This is my 4th season with BAD.
If you had one super power what would it be? Would you use it for good or evil? This
question is a slippery slope for me because it’s hard for me to pick a super power without
monkey’s pawing it in my brain. I feel like I already have a super power: parallel parking. It’s not
an easy task, especially in San Francisco. So I would be more of a Batman type superhero – I
don’t have special powers but I’m still considered a superhero because I can do cool stuff with
gadgets and training. So, I’m hella good at parallel parking. Of course I would use this power for
evil.
Where would you love to live, if not in the Bay Area? In the mountains – hermit style.
Who’s your derby crush? Too many to list here. Pretty much everyone who works really hard
volunteering for our league.
